Don Komarechka is an award-winning nature and landscape photographer located in Barrie, Ontario, Canada. Charged with emotion and beauty, Don’s photography is backed by a passion for capturing the natural world.

Don’s photos convey a sense of peaceful wonder, creating curiosity and intrigue in the viewer. While much of his work is done locally, many have a national and world-wide appeal.

Don has teaches Nature & Landscape Photography and Macro Photography, and loves to share his passion for the visual world. “Every photo has a story – the best come from the spectacular capture of ordinary moments.”

With an interest in photography that started just a few short years ago, Don often speaks at various local technology and photography clubs about the art. “Photography is about sharing your unique view of the world with others – without using words. Helping others accomplish the same goal is extremely rewarding.”

    Surprised to hear you are now engaged. CONGRATULATIONS. We’ve got our 47th anniversary coming up in the fall and we’re celebrating it in Venice, Italy.

    Hey,
    my name is Colleen, I’m from Germany and I just came across your blog when I looked for a “maple leaf flag” on Google. It is soo pretty. All of your photographs are. I have a Nikon D40, and what can I say – I’m quite jealous. I wish I had the time and objects to come up with such nice shots. Your work really got me even more excited for my trip to Canada next fall. I bet I try that flag, too. :D
    You also got me thinking again about starting my own blog, I wanted to do that for a long time and I think yours can serve as a shining example.

    Aaach, alles auf Englisch.
    Ich bin Ajuna Eneska und komme aus Deutschland, genauer in der Nähe von Heidelberg, Baden-Württemberg.
    Ich habe noch nicht herausfinden können, wo Dein Sitz ist, da mein Englisch scheinbar festgerostet ist. Auch der Versuch hier Englisch zu lesen, hilft nicht, den Rost zu lösen.
    Ich mache Musik und Videos. Allerdings fehlt mir zum Videos machen noch ein vernünftiges Equipment. Die billige EVERIO taugt zu garnichts.
    Träumen tuh ich von einer CANON.
