Last night was a great night – we celebrated Walter’s birthday (which included an unexpected polar bear dip for the birthday boy!) and we also had a full moon. I’m sure you’ve all heard about the “Super Moon”, a full moon that is 14% larger and 30% brighter in the night sky, due to a closer orbit. Don’t panic, its still 356,577km away:

I just wish I had a bigger lens or a telescope to get in even closer. Ah well – I’ll have another shot at it during the next Super Moon, predicted for November 2016. 🙂
