The flight shots were taken at or above 1/1000th shutter speed, which was possible in the full light of the sun no problem. The lens focused fast on the birds in flight, and nailed it most of the time. Quite happy with it! I'll keep shooting - a little upset that its raining today, doesn't look good for Monday either. Beautiful shots. The detail is quite remarkable, especially considering the subjects are moving fast in a lot of the shots. I concur with your choice of the favourite, although I have to say I really like the one of the "Mallard Couple". Really nice, and peaceful-looking.
