Thanksgiving 2008
Turkey Day has come and gone, and this year’s was probably one of the best. We had Meme and Pepe, Aunt Deb and Uncle Moe and kids, as well as Paster Steve and his family. Karryna was also down for the weekend and I was so happy that Desi was able to make it too. It was a full house, and it was a blast! It was the first time that Desi had met some of my family, and I’ve heard nothing but good things from both sides
I took out the camera on Monday morning to take some photos once everything had quieted down, just a few from around the kitchen. I also took some later that day at Desi’s place. Her mom had a lot of family and friends over, not exactly for Thanksgiving but to honour the passing of Desi’s Grandma. It’s something of a tradition that they all get together 40 days after someone dies, and that happened to fall on Thanksgiving Monday. It was nice to meet everyone there, although there was an intimidation factor as I was the only one there who didn’t speak Bulgarian
I also took some shots around the area here of the wonderful autumn colours. I always try to go for a drive during the week when the colour of the leaves are the most vibrant, and today was that day for me this year. I snapped a few photos along the way, and here’s one of the better ones:
All the pictures I took yesterday are below. Enjoy!
